About
I was born and raised in Duesseldorf, Germany.
When I was a child I loved to perform and created and played theatre since Primary- and all the way through High School.
In 2007 I started the full time training in Mime and Pantomime at DIE ETAGE - School for Performing and Fine Arts, Berlin.
The main subjects covered the basics in Corporeal Mime with Oliver Pollak, Pantomimetechnique (different walks on the spot, fixpoint, bodywaves among others) with Anke Gerber, Drama, Acrobatics and Ballet. In blocks of three months I gained insights into subjects such as Physical Theatre with Irina Andreeva (Teatr Novogo Fronta), Clowning, Contact Improvisation and Neutral Mask.
Since I was fascinated with Corporeal Mime, I decided in 2009 to specialise by enrolling for the full time course at the International School of Corporeal Mime in London, led by Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum, the last assistants of Etienne Decroux.
In addition to Dramatic Corporeal Mime technique, the classes included Improvisation, Composition and the learning of Repertoirepieces.
I graduated in July 2011 and joined Theatre de L'Ange Fou, the company founded by Steven Wasson and Corinne Soum.
In Berlin I started to take lessons in Aerial Silks and continued in London with Aerial Rope for two years which gave me a good insight into techniques used on aerial equipment. Currently i am training in Advanced Stretching and Contortion with world record contortionist Iona Luvsandorj.
In my sparetime I design and create costumes for myself and others - a hobby I am taking to a professional level as I am responsible for the creation of costumes and props for the upcoming show of Theatre de L'Ange Fou.
Through my years of training I had the chance to work with people from many different backgrounds such as Drama, Aerial- and Flooracrobatics, Opera and of course Mime. I always enjoy the diversity of people that will eventually become a whole onstage, love to use my skills to achieve the best possible result in a creation and am striving to learn from and add to every production I am part of.
